SKY PINES - Established 2020
Innovation Academy's high school wellness teacher, Kyle Thornton, had the idea for the course back in 2015. Through the help of school administration Thornton began designing the 18 hole course and got the first two baskets installed in May 2018. This course would not be possible without the support of the Innovation Academy Charter School's administration, facilities crew, parent organization, and student government. These groups not only supported the idea of putting a course on campus but also aided in the funding of baskets but also helped in clearing fairways and with tee pad installation. Now, three and a half years later, the full 18 hole course has been finished and is open to the public!
OUR MISSION |
The vision of Sky Pines is to have a course that brings enjoyment to all ages and ability levels. This course was specifically designed to challenge well seasoned veterans as well as provide a place where newcomers to the sport can begin their disc golf journey. This is a great course for an outing with the whole family or any group of friends. We hope Sky Pines is a place where everyone can enjoy some time in nature, have fun with others, and have a great time playing the sport of disc golf!
OUR TEAM
This course would not have been made possible without the generous support and countless volunteer hours of everyone listed below. If you enjoy our course please take some time to thank these individuals for making all of that enjoyment possible!
